1. 教师出示一张标志图，让学生猜测它的意思。并呈现句型：
t: what does it mean?
s: it means “no eating or dringing”.
t: it means you shouldn’t litter them.
学习should shouldn’t litter
讲解： should 为情态动词，意为必须，后跟动词原形。
在此复习 may, can 同为情态动词，后跟动词原形。
2.出示很多标志，引出标题“public signs”,并利用句型继续学习一些标志。

2. 出示课文挂图。

s: they are ben and jack.

2) 自读前言部分回答为题。

朗读前言。3.听课文，选出jack看到的标志。
