一、教学内容。
一）语言知识 sentences structure：it’s a…，tell me more about…
these postcards are great！
二）语言技能 can use the key structure to describe something.
二、学习目标：
一）知识目标 understand the text and learn the words：thousand，million，kilometre，postcard and the sentence structure“tell me more about…”
二）能力目标 can use the key structure to describe something.
三）情感目标 to h**e theinterestingof english， to h**e the ability of cooperration.
四）学习策略目标 to improve the ability of self-learning， to let the students study with each other， to let them listen carefully and learn how to use the sentence structures.
三、学习重难点。
重点：掌握单词postcard、million、thousand、kilometre；
难点：用英语讲述关于某个地方或某件事物的情况。
四、教学策略及教法、学法设计。
the most important thing is to help the students to learn how to use enlish. so the teacher must let the students read the text deeply, fluently, and h**e the ability of using new structures, new words. the teacher can use the direct method, the audio-lingual method, task-base language teaching to improve the ability of self-studying, cooperation of studying.

六、预习学案。
1.预习目标。
通过让学生预习，让他们了解本文的写作背景，知道本文的主要内容，了解grandma在美国的生活习惯，从而体会daming为美国之行该怎样准备。
2.预习过程：
1）首先让学生自己根据音标学着认读单词；
2）在认读单词的基础上，了解本文的书写格式；
3）自己阅读本文，大体上能通读大意；同时标出文中的一般将来时态；
4）让他们了解本文的写作背景，体会grandma在美国的生活习惯。
七、导学案。
1、热身复习。
老师热情地问候学生们，欢迎他们在暑假过后回到学校。老师可以询问学生们在假期里都去了哪些地方，做了哪些事情，有没有特别有趣的经历。建议他们通过展示**和**介绍相关的情况，可以使用句型“it’s a picture of．__it's very…”等。
2、学习新词，并用新词造句。帮助学生了解新词的含义，及实际运用。
3、导入。老师从学生的**或**中选取几张比较典型的并提问：“do you know this place?"引导全班学生自由回答，例如：
t：do you know this place?
ss：yes．it’s…
t：can you tell me something about it?
ss：yes, it's…
t： can you tell me more about it?
ss： ．问答完毕后，老师可以总结说：“these photos/pictures are great!
”老师再拿出一张来自纽约的明信片，复习单词“postcard"。老师问：“do you know this place?
”学生应该能够回答：“yes，it’s new york．”老师引导学生说出：“it’s a picture of new york.
”告诉学生，在这个暑假里，daming去了美国旅游，并在那里经历了很多有趣的事情。刚到表哥simon家，行李还没有收拾好，daming和simon就迫不及待地聊开了。请学生们注意他们使用的语言。
勾出学过的新词。
4、将本课的挂图贴在黑板上，**录音或动画，呈现sb活动1。请学生看图或动画，听听daming和simon的对话。听完以后，请学生说一说：
simon是谁？ daming在**？两人在做什么？
请学生翻开书，老师放录音，学生边听边看书，可以全班齐读，或分男生、女生或小组读。
再听录音，要求学生勾画出文中的重要信息，然后引导他们回答如下问题：明信。
片上画的是**？关于长城、纽约和北京他们都谈了些什么？可以向全班提问，也可以请单个学生回答。
再**一遍动画，帮助学生通过刚才的问答进一步理解课文和句子。老师可以在每句话后停顿，请学生模仿跟读，并注意人物所使用的语言。
把全班分成两组，分角色读。试着根据图画上的内容设计对话。引导他们注意活动l题目要求中提及的 “is”和 “are”的使用。
可以请学生两人一组起立说一说他们的想法，然后再放录音，让学生仔细听并重复。最后请几组同学根据录音中的内容向全班展示对话。鼓励学生用同一句型说出更多与**相关的内容。
八、课堂检测。
1、学生四人小组内开展小记者调查活动，调查学校的一位任课教师或某位自己喜爱的明星。上课时组织开一个新闻发布会。让发言的学生说说调查的结果，并由其他组的学生向该组的同学发问，如：
tell me more about miss long’s age? 等等。因为是学生熟悉和喜爱的人，所以学生发问的积极性很高，有效地运用了“tell me about…” 的句型。
2、学生理解和掌握对话后，全班一起完成ab练习1。先请学生读懂各个问题，然后放录音，请学生们认真听，然后口头回答并书写问题。最后全班一起核对答案。
3、请学生合上书，全班听录音一起完成ab练习2。向学生说明，他们将在录音中听到很多不同的声音效果，他们要试着判断发出这些声音的是什么人／动物／事物？
九、 课后作业。
抄写课后单词；每天听磁带20分钟；收集世界地图或中国地图，拼图也可以。
