教学目标】一）知识目标：
学生能听懂、会认、会读单词october，spent、about、video、proud、someday;能区分动词的一般式和过去式，掌握动词过去式的用法；进一步强化语音语调，初步达到语调达意。（二）能力目标：
学生能够运用i want to __句型说出自己的梦想；能够朗读全文，并阅读相关文章；
能够根据关键词捕捉重要信息，理解课文。（三）情感目标：
提高学生的学习兴趣和信心，增强学生的祖国意识。
学情分析】本课授课对象为六年级学生，他们已经有不错的英语学习基础，对英语有较大的学习热情，愿意在老师的引导下认真地参与到英语课堂中去。但是，六年级的学生相对于其他年级而言，比较内敛，他们不乐于表现自己。不过，他们具有较强的竞争意识和集体荣誉感，采用有效的评价方式能够较好地激发他们的竞争意识，引导他们积极地参与课堂，勇敢地表现自我。
重点难点】重点：
能区分动词的一般式和过去式，掌握动词过去式的用法；能够根据关键词捕捉重要信息，理解课文。难点：
进一步强化语音语调，初步达到语调达意；能够朗读全文，并阅读相关文章；
教学过程】step 1：warm-up
