第一课时。【课题】unit 4 it’s warm today 第一课时。
【教学重点】句型：it’s warm / hot / cold / cool in ….
词汇：cold、cool、hot、warm、weather
【教学难点】单词weather的发音。
【教具准备】
一张中国地图以及本课时所需的单词卡片。
教材相配套的教学录音带。
学生准备好四张描述天气状况的形容词卡片以及写有城市名称的卡片若干。
【教学过程】
（一）热身、复习 (warm-up/revision)
1、学生一起说儿歌（let’s chant p31）
2、教师手指自己的衣服说：i am wearing a ….what are you wearing？
引导学生说出自己穿的衣服的名称，如： a shirt、jeans、black shoes….
（二）呈现新课 （presentation）
教师说：it’s warm today.（指指外面） so we wear shirts or t-shirts.
today we are going to learn about the weather. now let’s watch a weather report.
教师**一段英文解说的天气预报实录。待学生看完后，教师说：this is a weather report.同时呈现单词卡片，领读weather report（把卡片贴到黑板上）
教师要注意提醒学生读weather时，th咬舌尖。
教师**unit 4 let’s learn a部分的录音。学生**。
教师提问：is it a weather report?
学生回答：yes, it’s a weather report.
教师再问：is it warm in lhasa？提示句子it’s cool in lhasa.
引导学生答出：no. it’s cool in lhasa.让更多的学生重复回答。
告诉学生拉萨位于我国**自治区，那里的天气很凉快，cool是形容天气凉快；而warm一词是形容天气暖和，北京的春天就是很温暖的。教师说：it’s warm in beijing.
并引导学生跟读。
教师将单词卡warm、cool贴黑板，请部分学生朗读单词。
然后提问：where is cool？ where is warm？
启发学生回答：it’s cool in lhasa. it’s warm in beijing.
鼓励学生用warm和cool描述我国其他城市的天气状况：it’s warm / cool in .…如果有不符合实际的叙述，教师可以用 it isn’t warm/cool in……进行简单纠正，从而为学生进一步的学习留下悬念。
请学生观察书中插图：which city can you find？
学生答出：harbin、hong kong
教师说：it’s cold in harbin. it’s hot in hong kong.
用体态语言解释hot和cold的意思。领读单词（把卡片贴到黑板上）。
教师说：it’s cool in lhasa. it’s warm in beijing.
what’s the weather like in harbin?引导学生说出：it’s cold in harbin.
提问：what’s the weather like in hong kong?
引导学生说出：it’s hot in hong kong.
教师出示中国地图，边指边说：here is beijing. what is the weather like in beijing?
学生回答：it’s warm in beijing.
教师问：what’s the weather like in harbin/hong kong/lhasa?
学生分别回答：it’s cold in harbin.
it’s hot in hong kong.
it’s cool in lhasa.
引导学生用what the weather like in……?提问关于我国其他城市的天气状况。
教师边回答问题边在地图上指出学生所问的城市。
学生3-4人一组，仿照课文表演一个城市天气预报。good morning. this is a weather report.(一起说)，然后每人预报两个城市的天气。
练习好以后，教师找几个组来在班里表演，教师要及时做出评价。
（三）趣味操练 (practice)
两人小组活动。学生a手中拿着城市名称卡片，学生b手中拿着天气卡片。学生a随意拿出一张卡片并说：
it’s… 学生b根据a拿的城市的天气状况拿出相应的天气卡片并说：it’s…，然后两人一起说：it’s …in…
（四）扩展性活动(add-activities)
1、做本单元a let’s learn部分的活动手册配套连习。
2、试一试给同伴、朋友、家长预报天气，并建议他们穿上合适的衣服。用到句型it’s ……put on your .…

单词卡片：shirt、t-shirt、jacket、sweater、coat、skirt、dress、jeans、short、pants。
【教学过程】
（一）热身、复习 (warm-up/revision)
教师**第三单元的歌曲“my clothes”，让学生一齐跟唱，复习服装类名词。
让学生将学过的服装类名词归类：clothes for warm days / clothes for cold days，为下面即将学习的对话进行铺垫。
3、引导学生根据人物服装来猜一猜天气情况，复习单词：warm、hot、cool、cold。
（二）呈现新知(presentation)
1、 let’s talk
教师根据当时情况说：it’s hot/warm. can i wear my shirt(sweater, skirt, dress…)?
引导学生回答：yes，you can.或 no, you can’t.
并进行板书。
学生分小组练习：a：can i wear my…?
b：yes，you can. /no, you can’t.
出示单词卡片：wear，让学生朗读，并引导学生说出意思。
教师说：mike has a new shirt. he likes it very much. can he wear it?
**let’s talk部分录音，学生看书。
教师提问：（前两幅图）can mike wear his new shirt？ why？
(第三幅图) is it cold? can mike wear his new shirt? can mike wear his t-shirt?
学生模仿跟读。教师对学生的语音、语调进行必要的指导。
学生分角色朗读，表演对话。教师可以先与一个学生进行示范性表演，以降低本项活动的难度。
创新练习：根据所给情境两人一组编对话。
今天你要和同学去公园，和妈妈商量要穿什么衣服：
a：it’s … can i wear my…?
b：yes， you can. /no, you can’t.
学生分组汇报表演，教师进行适当评价。
2、 let’s chant：
**let’s chant部分相关录音。
让学生说说在儿歌中听到的句子或单词。
带领学生边做动作边跟节奏说唱歌谣。
儿歌创新：学生4-6人一组根据以上框架重编儿歌。
以小组的形式汇报表演，教师再次评价，适当把机会让给没表演过对话的学生。
（三）趣味操练(practice)
教师把单词卡片：shirt、t-shirt、jacket、sweater、coat、skirt、dress、jeans、short、pants摆在黑板上。
2、教师口令：put on the……!take off the……!
学生以小组竞赛的形式听指令做动作：听到put on the……!的指令迅速拿起相应的卡片举在胸前；听到take off the……!
的指令后立刻将卡片放回原位。动作快的为赢家。
