they are all something about today.教师给出一系列数字，让学生猜数字所蕴含的意思。如：
2, 4, 13th, 2009, 引导学生理解为：today is tue., apr. 13th, 2009.
然后让学生理解、推理紧随其后几组数字的意义，在此过程中学习新单词及其表达形式。即：

以小组为单位，每组分发7张小纸条， 组员围成一圈共商答案并书写答案。在3分钟内完成。要求各组找一个代表读出答案，其他组的组员听答案，判断对与错，错的即时纠正。
判断或改正答案对的同学，其所在的组别加10分。以下是小纸条的内容样板：
