此句是where引导的特殊疑问句。回答时，介词from后常跟表示国家，城市等的地点名词。
主语是人，某人来自**。
where is ye zhongwei from?叶忠炜来自**？ –he is from sichuan.他来自四川。
主语是物，某物产自**。
where are these watches from?这些手表产自**？
they are from japan.它们产自日本。
be from意为从。来，来自。be 要随人称的变化而变化。
i am from shandong.我来自山东。 they are from china.他们来自中国。
