第一课时：part a let’s learn part a let’s play part c let’s sing
aims（教学目标）
1、 使学生能听、说、读、写有关比较级的单词taller、shorter、older、younger、stronger。
2、 使学生知道形容词比较级变化的一般规律。
3、 使学生知道than是比较的意思，than前要用形容词的比较级。
4、 使学生了解cm、kg分别表示长度和重量单位，并学会它们的读音，并会回答句子how tall are you? how he**e are you?
5、 培养学生分析与仔细观察的能力。
6、 通过游戏，培养学生学习的兴趣。
7、 学生能听懂会唱歌曲《my pets》
materials（教学用具）
录音机、磁带、**，拉力器。
procedure（教学过程）
1、 热身导入。
t: how are you, boys and girls? today, first let’s chant, ok?
然后教师**book 2中的一首歌谣：tall, tall, tall, make yourself tall. short, short, short, make yourself short.
big, big, big, make your eyes big, small, small, small, make your eyes small. long, long, long, make your arms long, short, short, short, make your arms short.请学生跟着节奏一起边唱歌谣，边做动作。
2、 学习taller、shorter，了解表示长度单位的单词。
教师出示姚明与教师本人的**，让学生先观察**并用英语自由地说一两句话，然后教师出示姚明的身高223cm，并教学表示长度单位的单词的完整写法centimeter和缩写cm及朗读方法，然后教学句子yao ming is 223cm tall。之后教师请学生用句子… is …cm tall.来说一说自己及同学的身高。
最后教师请学生来猜猜教师有多高，并和姚明比较，引出单词taller、shorter及句子“… is taller than…” is shorter than…”的教学。
3、 游戏操练。
教师出示一系列的对比**，请学生同桌合作用句子“… is taller than…” is shorter than…”来说说**中的人和物。
4、学习单词older、younger。
教师出示一大、一小giraffe长颈鹿的**。
t: the mother giraffe is taller, and the baby giraffe is shorter. the mother giraffe is older, and the baby giraffe is younger.
引出单词教学。
5、游戏操练。
教师首先示范游戏规则，t：now let’s play a game. guess:
how old am i ? if your number is more than my age, i will tell you younger. if your number is less than my age, i will tell you older.
教师先请学生猜猜自己的年龄，假如学生猜出的年龄比老师的实际年龄大了，老师就说younger, younger，假如比实际年龄小了，老师就说older, older。然后教师出示一些人物的**，按照上述方法请学生们来猜猜他们的年龄。
6、学习单词stronger，了解表示重量单位的单词。
教师出示举重运动员占旭刚的**，t: look, he is strong. i’m strong, too.
然后教师拿出拉力器用力拉开，t: i can do it, can you? 然后请两个学生来试试，从而引出单词stronger。
接着教师询问力气较大的同学how he**y are you?来让学生掌握重量单位单词kilograms(kg)的表达法，然后教师请学生们用句子i’m…kg.来说说自己的体重大约是多少。
7、游戏。请学生用句子i’m…kg.去告诉同学自己的体重，然后找到与自己体重在一个范围内的同学（20kg—29kg、30kg—39kg…）之后相互比赛扳手腕，胜利的同学可以说i’m stronger.
8、 let’s do
教师对book 2中的歌谣进行改编，taller, taller, taller, make yourself taller. shorter, shorter, shorter, make yourself shorter. older, older, older, make yourself older, younger, younger, younger, make yourself younger.
stronger, stronger, stronger, make yourself stronger.
9、 let’s play: 游戏可以4-8小组为单位，展开活动。先比身高，教师请小组中的每个成员说出自己的身高i’m…cm tall.
其他同学听清楚，然后教师口令line up from shorter to taller!或line up from taller to shorter.请学生迅速按照要求排好队伍。
10、教师**歌曲录音，要求学生欣赏歌曲，并看歌词，然后教唱。
11、布置回家作业：抄写单词并背诵。
