文昌中学依叶圣陶先生所言“千教万教教人求真，千学万学学做真人”，将课堂名字定为“求真大课堂”，朱校长的话说要真教、真学、真严、真爱、真实、真会，将一个“真”字作为学校一切教育教学和管理的衡量标准，1234567，七音弦歌，求真课堂：
1就是一个学习目标，2就是提前两分钟进班，布置2个任务，（出示目标、检查学情），3就是3步曲：课前集备创新学案，课中艺术经营课堂，课后较真跟踪落实。
课前，人人皆备成草案，择优主备有方案，集体研备成学案，二次创作成个案，课后反思成定案。
课中，艺术经营课堂—老师的语言艺术，组织课堂的艺术，学生之间对话的艺术，小组展示的艺术，问题发现生成解决的思维艺术，学生学习能力提升的表达艺术，学业成就提升的效益艺术。在这些艺术上师生共同下功夫。
课后，坚持课后跟踪辅导，在学校流行一种格言“不是学生不认真，而是教师不较真，不是学生不行动，而是教师不命令，不是学生不提升，而是教师不跟踪”。
课堂要求各学科准备3个本子，学情调查本、跟踪本、纠错本等。
4是4个维度考评，课堂要求学生做到高速度、准确度、干净度、参与度；4个真即课堂真，效果真，特色真，教育真。“课堂真”体现在：①学情调查真，教师可以根据真实的学情而适时调整课堂计划；②暴晒问题真，求真课堂是一个动态生成的课堂，不是作秀的课堂，也不是假课。
③课堂点拨真，针对学生适时反馈的信息，教师可以更好的把握重难点和易错点。④课堂学习真，求真课堂真正关注学生，让学习发生在学习者身上。“效果真”体现在①成绩真有进步：
学校建立了一整套多层跟踪制度，（有日清过关的日跟踪；周练的周跟踪；月考形式的月跟踪）通过分层较真跟踪让学生真正动起来，学习也收到真效果。真正是“凡事不跟踪，到头一场空”。②能力真有提升：
在成绩提高的同时，学生的自主学习、合作**、语言表达能力、点评质疑能力在循序渐进中不断提升，学生不再厌恶课堂，学习乐在其中。“特色真”体现在：①校长理念有特色：
在高效课堂引领潮流的课改大潮中，朱校长高屋建瓴，提出了教育要回归本真，我们要打造求真课堂，体现了我们文昌的特色。②学案创作有特色：各学科学案在保持本校特色的基础上更有自己创作的板块，例如语文的高效阅读和汉字化工程；政治的聚焦时事和关注热点；历史的解题指导和史海拾贝。
最终真正体现了大胆创新、追求真理。“教育真”体现在求真课堂要求我们回到教育的原点来反思教育，最大程度上实现个人潜力的挖掘，实现个人的发展。让学生学会生存、学会创造、学会学习、学会合作、学会做人，通过教育对学生潜移默化影响，塑造健康的人格、培养高尚的道德情操。
