本部分是本单元的第一课时,围绕本节课的主要目标语言,通过一系列的听说活动,学习各种食物名称和点餐的基本表达,**展现了在餐馆里点餐的场景,增加了更为丰富的语言输入,不仅谈论食物种类,还涉及到中餐里常见的“大份,小份,中份”,学生要学会在相应的语境中运用核心句型和重点词汇进行初步的口头语言输出。

先让学生看下面这个小笑话:

hamburgers, ice cream, hot dogs, french fries, salad, tomatoes, broccoli, orange, bananas, strawberries, chicken, beef, sandwiches. after a while, the waiter brought them for her. she said :

”i h**en’t order, i h**e read the menus for my daughter.”然后设问如何订餐。

有趣的故事, 活跃课堂气氛,激发学生的求知欲望。)

step two: new lesson

一) 1a: 大屏幕显示日常生活中我们经常吃到的各种食物,复习本课要用的新词汇,并进而完成1a的学习。

二)1b: listening:

1. before listening:大屏幕显示三碗不同大小的食物,让学生会用英语表达大、中、小号的食物,为听力和pair work 做准备。

2. while listening:

1) let’s listen to the tape and finish 1b.

2) listen again and complete the sentences.(将听力材料进行改编)

w: what size would you like?

b: i’d like a __bowl of noodles.

w: and what kind of noodles would you like?

b: i’d likeandnoodles.

w: and how about you?

g: i’d like abowl.

w: what kind would you like?

3. after listening:

1) read the dialogue loudly.

2) pair work (1c):先师生、生生做示范对话,然后给学生2分钟时间与同伴练习自己的新对话,最后在班级进行展示。

三)2a and 2b 步骤及要求同1b。

step three:pair work(2c)

the teacher can invite a student to make a model. and then ask the students to make a dialogue with his / her partner.

they can use the information of 2a. (about 3minutes)

at last, ask some pairs to show in class.

step four:group work:

四人一组,一人扮演waiter,其余三人为guests,以饭店为场景,完成点餐活动。时间大约4分钟,然后让学生志愿到讲台展示表演,看谁做得最好。(本活动是本课目标语言的总结与升华,给更多学习能力强的学生进一步展示自己的机会,真正实现学以致用。)
