where's ..where is ..句型用来询问某人或某物在**。回答时可以直接用it's+介词短语(表示地点)/地点副词。例如：
where is your new skirt? 你的新裙子在**？

3. the pay phone is next to the library.公用**在图书馆旁边。
next to 意为“接近；在……旁边，挨着的”。这是一个介词短语，相当于beside，其后常接表示场所、顺序、价值的名词。例如：
my desk is next to kate's. 我的桌子在凯特的邻近。

4. the pay phone is between the post office and the library. 公用**在邮局和图书馆之间。
between ..and ..意为“在……和……之间”，既可以表示地点的概念，也可以表示时间的概念。例如：
may is between april and june. 五月在四月和六月之间。
he sits between row 3 and row 5. 他坐在3排和5排之间。
5. excuse me. is there a hotel in the neighborhood？打扰了。请问这附近有旅馆吗？
该句是问路的常用句型。用英语问路时直接说is there ..或can you tell me ..
是不礼貌的。应当先说excuse me，意为“对不起；抱歉”，常用于与陌生人谈话，打断别人说话，问路，或表示异议等情景。例如：
excuse me, is there a post office near here? 请问，这儿附近有个邮局吗？
excuse me, but i don't agree with you. 请恕我冒昧，我不同意你的说法。
neighborhood意为“附近；临近地区”。固定用法为in the neighborhood，意为“在临近地区”。值得注意的是，某些名词 + hood可以构成另一个意思相近的名词。
例如：neighbor (邻居) →neighborhood (临近地区)
child (孩子) →childhood (幼年，童年)
to h**e fun是动词不定式短语，在句子中作定语，修饰place。h**e fun意为“玩得高兴，过得愉快”，相当于h**e a good time。fun是不可数名词，意为“乐趣、娱乐”，其前不能用不定冠词a或an修饰。
例如：for children the park is a good place to h**e fun. 对孩子们来说，公园是个好玩的地方。
i will go to my brother's birthday party this evening. 今晚我要去参加哥哥的生日聚会。
h**e fun! 玩得开心！
fun还有一个固定用法为for fun，意为“作娱乐用的，开玩笑的”。例如：
we go swimming for fun. 我们去游泳当作娱乐。

let作为动词，意为“让；允许”。常用结构为let sb. do sth.，意为“让某人做某事”。例如：
