1、如何将形容词原级变成最高级。
直接加-est 如weak-weakest
以辅音加”y”结尾的单词去“y”加“-iest”如：he**y-he**iest
以一个元音加一个辅音结尾的双写辅音加-est， 如fat-fattest
2、什么时候用比较级？
句子有than的时候。it’s colder today than it was yesterday.
两者比较的时候。who is taller, billy or bob?
3、什么时候用最高级？
句子有the的时候。it’s the coldest day.
三者或三者以上比较的时候。who is the tallest, billy, bob or peter?
4、常识。the longest river-changjiang river（长江）
the highest mountain- mount qomolangma（珠穆朗玛峰）

该句型用了最高级，最高级是在形容词后加-est，构词法与比较级相同：
a）单音节形容词只有一个元音字母，其末尾为一辅音字母时，在比较级和最高级形式中，这个辅音字母要双写：big—bigger—biggest
b）单音节形容词以-e结尾，在词尾加-r构成比较级，加-st构成最高级：
large—larger—largest
