要点梳理。1. 在具体某一天或某天的上午、下午、晚上前用介词on,如:
on may 6th, on sunday morning;表示在某年、某月前用介词in,如:in january, in 2013;在具体某一时刻前用介词at,如:at 8:
00。2. a pair of shorts 一条短裤。a pair of的意思是“一条、一双”,后面接名词复数形式。
以… pair(s) of 短语作主语时,谓语动词要以pair的单复数为准。如:
this pair of pants is very good.
3. take … to …表示“把……带到……去”。bring … to …表示“把……带到……来”。如:
can you take the bag to your room?
please bring your photos to school tomorrow. i want to h**e a look.
4. what’s the weather like ..how is the weather ..
常用来询问天气,意为“……的天气怎么样?”回答用形容天气的形容词有sunny, windy, cloudy, foggy, snowy, rainy, hot, warm, cool, cold等。如:
what’s the weather like in your city?
it’s snowy, but not very cold.
5. how many意为“多少”,后面接可数名词的复数形式,用来询问数量。how much也意为“多少”,后接不可数名词。
how much还用来提问物品的**,意为“多少钱”,同义句为what’s the price of …?如:
how many boys are there in your group?
how much are the oranges? /what’s the price of the oranges?
six yuan a kilo.
6. what’s the matter with …?意为“……怎么了/出什么事情了?
”,常用来询问别人遇到的麻烦、问题或疾病等。还可以表达为what’s wrong / the trouble with …?what happened to …?
等。如:
what’s wrong with jimmy?
he hurt his leg just now.
7. 表示数目或数量多少的词叫基数词,如one, two, three等;表示数目顺序的词叫序数词,如first, second, third等。序数词在使用时,前面通常加定冠词the。
8. would you like …?意为“你想要……吗?
”,后接名词、代词或动词不定式,常用来表示邀请或建议对方做某事。表示建议的句型还有why not do …?what about …?
could you please do …?you’d better (not) do …等,答语常用yes, please / good idea / no, thanks / i’d love to, but … sorry, i’m afraid not等。
9. it’s time for sth. /it’s time (for sb.) to do sth. 到(某人)做某事的时间了。如:
it’s time for supper.
it’s time to go to work.
10. play作动词可表示“演奏、弹奏(乐器)”,乐器类名词前常用定冠词the,如:play the piano/violin。
play还可表示“玩(球类、棋类、纸牌)”,这些类名词前不用任何冠词,如:play football/chess/poker。play 还可以表示“**”,如:
play music。play作名词可以表示“戏剧”。
11. 回答别人的赞扬时多用thank you或thanks (a lot),对于生日祝福也是一样。对其他节日祝福的答语一般是:
you, too / the same to you或用同样的祝福语。如:
happy new year!
the same to you.
另外,thanks for …表示“为……而感谢”,for是介词,后面跟名词或v-ing形式。如:
thanks for your invitation.
thanks for inviting me to your birthday party.
12. let’s do sth.常用于提出建议。答语若表示赞成,一般用good idea,若表示不赞成,可以用sorry, i … 等。如:
let’s go to the new park this sunday morning, shall we?
that’s a good idea. /sorry, i h**e to look after my sister at home.
而let sb. do sth. 表示“让某人做某事”,这里的动词原形其实是省去to的动词不定式作宾语补足语。如:
let me h**e a try.
13. say指说的内容,一般可直接带宾语,但表示“和……说话”时后加介词to;speak强调说话的能力,“speak+表示语言的名词”表示会说某种语言;talk多指和某人说话和谈论什么事情, 常用结构talk to/with sb., talk about sth.
;tell多指以口头方式把某事告诉某人,常用结构tell sb. sth.或 tell sth.
to sb.。如:
i can speak english.
i would like some noodles,” he says.
he likes talking with my mother.
can you tell me a story?
14. listen意为“听”,强调动作,常用作listen to+名词或代词。而 hear是及物动词,意思是“听见”,强调结果。如:
many old people like listening to the radio.
i heard a girl singing in the next room when i came in.
15. 交通方式的表达:
“by+交通工具名词”,如:by car/bus/bicycle/train/plane/ship。
“in (on)+交通工具名词”表示交通方式,此时交通工具名词前必须有冠词、名词所有格或形容词性物主代词等限定词修饰,如:on her bike; in a car。
“take a+交通工具名词”,如: take a bus/train/ship/plane,但“骑自行车”用ride a bike。
表示“步行去某地”可用两种句式表达:①go to+某地+on foot;②walk to+某地。
对交通方式提问时要用how。
