英语名词单复数练习。
一．可数名词与不可数名词名词根据其可数性可分为可数名词和不可数名词。可数名词即指可以分为个体，且可直接用数目进行计数的名词，如（课桌），（女孩），（房间），（学校）等；不可数名词即指不可分为个体，且不可直接用数目进行计数的名词，（牛奶），（消息），（钱），等。
二、可数名词和不可数名词各有其特点，如可数名词可以有复数形式，可以直接用不定冠词修饰，可以直接用数词修饰，可受many,(a)few, several, a great number of等的修饰；不可数名词没有复数形式，不可以直接用不定冠词修饰，也不可以直接用数词修饰，不可受many,(a)few, several, a great number of等的修饰，但可用much ,a little ,a great deal of等的修饰。如： there are eight rooms in the house.
这房子有8个房间。 mr. smith has many students.
史密斯先生有许多学生。 he left for beijing a few days ago.几天前他去北京了。
i’m sorry to give you so much trouble.真对不起给你这么多麻烦。 do you h**e much money left?
你剩的钱多吗？ 注意：（1）有的名词既可用作可数名词，也可用作不可数名词，只是含义不同，如room表示“ 房间”时，为可数名词，但表示“空间”、“余地”时，为不可数名词。
（2）有的修饰语既可修饰可数名词，也可修饰不可数名词，如some ,all ,a lot of ,lots of等。
三、不可数名词的数量表示不可数名词不能与数词连用，但若要表示相应的数量，则需要借助一定的单位词等。如： 1、借助表示“张”、“块”的单位词（piece） a piece of *****一张纸 a piece of advice一条建议 a piece of news一条新闻 a piece of chalk 一只粉笔 a piece of bread一块面包 a piece of work 一项工作 a piece of meat 一块肉 a piece of ice 一块冰 a piece of information一条消息 a piece of music 一曲** a piece of wood 一块木头 a piece of furniture 一件家具注意：
不要按照汉语习惯在不该用单位的地方错用单位词，如“一张邮票”只能说“a stamp”而不能说“a piece of stamp”。 2、借助表示容量的词 a bottle of ink一瓶墨水 a cup of tea一杯茶 a bowl of rice一碗米饭 a glass of beer一杯啤酒 3、借助表示重量的词 a kilo of salt一公斤盐 ten tons of coal十吨煤 4、借助表示形状的词 a drop of water一滴水 a grain of sand一粒沙。
小学或初中阶段名词变复数的通用法：
1.一般+s如map→maps，bag→bags等
2.特殊：以s,x,sh,ch结尾的单词+es如bus→buses， watch→watches等；
3.以辅音字母+y结尾，去掉y加上ies，以元音字母+y结尾加上s
4.以f或fe结尾，去掉f/fe加上ves。如 knife→knives leaf→le**es wolf→wolves wife→wives life→lives thief→thieves
5.有时可数，有时不可数：典型例词：fish当它解释为鱼肉时是不可数名词，当它解释成同一种鱼时，单复数同形，复数即为fish，当它解释为不同一种鱼时，+es,即为fishes.
6.以o结尾，a) photo→photos ，piano→pianos ,radio→radios，zoo→zoos b）加es的名词有：potato→potatoes tomato→tomatoes
7.特殊词：child---children(小孩) man--men（男人）woman--women(女人）
8.单复数同形(单数和复数一样）people(人）sheep(绵羊) deer（鹿）)
9.国人变复数 :口诀：中日不变英法变，其余s加后面。
chinese--chinese japanese--japanese
englishman--englishmen frenchman--frenchmen american--americans等等
10. 字母、数字、引语、缩略语变复数，在其后加s或's。 eg.
there are two t's in the word “bottle". there are two 1's in the number “2011".
