there be句型表示“某地存在着某物”。
在使用there be句型时，要注意以下几点：
一、主语和谓语的一致。在there be引导的句子中，谓语动词be的人称和数应该和它后面的主语(名词)保持一致，当有两个或两个以上的名词作并列主语时，be的形式则和第一个名词保持一致(就近原则)。
例如：1、there is a picture book，a pen and some apples on the desk . 桌子上有一本图画书，一支钢笔和一些苹果。
2、there are two boys and a girl under the tree.树下有两个男孩和一个女孩。
二、there be结构变成否定句时，须在动词be后加not或no。如：
1、there is a table in the room．房间里有一张桌子。
there is not a table in the room．房间里没有桌子。
2、there are some children at the door．门口有几个孩子。
there are no children at the door．门口没有孩子。
there are not any children at the door.
三、变成一般疑问句时将动词be放到there之前，句子其余部分不变，回答时用yes／no+there+be的适当形式即可。如：
1、is there a table in the room? 房间里有桌子吗？
yes，there is．／no，there isn't．—是的，有。／不，没有。
2、are there any children at the door? 门口有孩子吗？ 1
yes，there are．／no，there aren't．是的，有。／不，没有。
四、对there be句型进行提问，一定要做到两个“牢记”：
第一，对there be句型的主语进行提问，通常用"what is(there) +介词短语(或副词)?”形式。主语无论是单数还是复数，be动词通常都用is,回答时要根据实际情况而定。
例如：①there is a book on the desk.
——what's on the desk?
——there is a book．
②there are some birds in the tree．
——what's in the tree?
——there are (there're) some birds．
第二，对there be句型的可数名词（主语）前的数字进行提问，要用“how many” ，其句型是：“how many＋可数名词复数（主语）十are there + 介词短语(或副词)?”无论主语是单数还是复数，动词be通常要用are.
不可数名词用how much, “how much＋不可数名词（主语）十is there + 介词短语(或副词)?”
例如。 there are five people in his family.
——how many people are there in his family?
——there are five．
②there is a bike under the tree．
——how many bikes are there under the tree?
——there is only one．
there is a little water in the bottle.
how much water is there in the bottle?
其他需要注意：
some 一些，用于肯定句中，any 一些，用于否定句和疑问句中。
a few 一些，用于可数名词前，a little一些，用于不可数名词前。
