1. “so” 这里意味着也会同样发生。注意其语法功能。这里so代表从句中grow 的意思，是特殊的代词。
peter can solve such a problem, and so can his brother.
皮特能够解决这样的问题，他弟弟也可以。
so 放在句首引起倒装。倒装语序前面子句中的助动词通常与后面的一样。如无助动词在so后用do (或did, does)；但是so 可用于 be，有时 h**e之前。

“i like whisky.” so do i.”
“我喜欢威士忌”—“我也喜欢”。

相同的表达还有：at the very moment / at the very time / at the very minute 。
4. “strike a balance between …”权衡轻重（取得平衡）；权衡（……利弊；找到正确的解决办法。

5. in f**or of 指“on the side of”; in agreement with”，意为赞成；支持；有利于。

6. “with respect to”意为关于，根据，就……而论，对于。
