【解读1】 remember doing意思为记得做过某事,强调的是做过的动作;也有remember to do 记得要去做某事,强调没有做的动作。remember的反义词forget 用法也是如此:forget doing 忘记做过某事,强调的是做过的动作;forget to do忘记要去做某事,强调没有做的动作。
举例】(1)i remember losing a schoolbag. 我记得丢失过一个书包。
2)frank remembers meeting this group of friends. 弗兰克记得遇到过这群朋友。
3)i remember scoring two goals in a row during a soccer competition.
我记得在一场足球比赛中我连续进了两个球。
解读2】volunteer 在该句中作为名词“志愿者”使用。volunteer 也可作动词,volunteer to do 意思为志愿去做某事。
举例】mary volunteers several hours each week to help in the animals’ hospital.

【解读】句子中 “how fast the time went by!”是感叹句。感叹句是英语的一种句型,用来表示人的强烈感情。
一般说来,感叹句是由 what 或 how 开头的,句末用感叹号,朗读时用降调,它有两个类型:一、用 what 引导的感叹句有三种句式:1.
what +a / an + 形容词+可数名词单数+主语+谓语!如:what a fine day it is!
(多么好的天气啊!)2. what + 形容词+可数名词复数形式+主语+谓语!
如:what good teachers they are!(他们是多么好的老师啊!
)3. what + 形容词+不可数名词+主语+谓语!如:
what round bread it is!(这是一块多么圆的面包啊!)二、用 how 开头的感叹句也有三种句式:

)注意: what 和 how 引起的感叹句,在口语中常可以省略主语、谓语或其它句子成分。如:

(2)what beautiful flowers these are! 这些是多么美丽的花啊!

【解读】句子中what they want to do in the future 是作为talked about 的宾语,故称之为宾语从句。宾语从句要注意三要素:引导词,语序和时态。
第一,引导词。宾语从句的引导词常常有以下三种:由陈述句转化而来的宾语从句,引导词为that,that在口语或非正式文体中可省略;由一般疑问句转化而来的宾语从句,引导词为if或whether;由特殊疑问句转化而来的宾语从句,引导词为句子本身的特殊疑问词,即what,when,where等。
如:we knew(that)we should learn from each other. i want to know if(whether)he lives there.
can you tell me how i can get to the nearest post office?
第二,语序。宾语从句的语序为陈述句语序,即“主语+谓语+宾语+其他”。也就是说,将疑问句转化成宾语从句时,一定要将疑问句语序转变成陈述句语序。
如:can you tell me what he will do tomorrow? 你能告诉我他明天将要做什么吗?
【提示】当疑问词在宾语从句中做主语时,语序不变。如:i don’t know what is wrong with him.
我不知道他出什么事了。
第三,时态。主句为一般现在时态,则宾语从句根据实际情况用任意的时态;但主句为一般过去时态时,宾语从句则要用过去的相对应的某种时态。如:
she tells me that she will come by bus. 她说她将要坐公交车来。she told me that she would come by bus.
她说她将要坐公交车来。如果宾语从句表示的是客观真理或是科学事实,其谓语动词仍用一般现在时态。如:
our teacher told us that the sun is much bigger than the moon.老师告诉我们说太阳比月球大得多。
【举例】i think(that)he will come here by train. 我认为他会坐火车来这儿的。
he asked me if / whether i knew his new address. 他问我是否知道他的新地址。
i want to know when you got back home yesterday. 我想知道你昨天什么时候到家的。
