2．关系副词的选定。
3．特殊情况（只用that不用which的情况）
第一课时：定语从句的定义，相关概念及关系代词的选定。
1． 定义：复合句中，用来修饰名词或者代词的从句。
2． 先行词：被定语从句修饰的名词或者代词。
3． 关系词：定语从句中连接主句和从句的连接词，分为关系代词和关系副词。
其中关系代词有：who, which, that, whose，在从句中充当主语，宾语，表语和定语成分。关系副词有：
where, when, why，分别在从句中充当地点状语，时间状语，原因状语。
4． 关系代词的选定。
1． the man who is wearing a white suit is my brother.（关系代词在从句中作主语）
2． she is the person that \who we are worried about.（关系代词在从句中作介词宾语）
3． the man who\whom he wanted to see last week is in shanghai.（关系代词在从句中作及物动词宾语）
4． she is the girl with whom i went there.（关系代词在从句中作介词宾语且介词提前）
5． this is the teacher whom\who we like best. （关系代词在从句中作及物动词宾语）
6． this is the pen which was given by my friend. （关系代词在从句中作主语）
7． this is the pen which my friend g**e to me. （关系代词在从句中作及物动词宾语）
8． this is the hotel in which you will stay. （关系代词在从句中作介词宾语且介词提前）
9． the boy whose father is an engineer studies at no. 2 middle school.（关系代词表属性）

第二课时：关系副词的选定。
注意：讲解时注意where、when，why在引导定语从句时，在从句中充当状语和宾语的区别，以及它们引导定语从句和其它从句的区别。
1.关系副词在从句中充当地点状语：where = 地点介词 + which
he didn’t tell me the place where he will go for a holiday.（定语从句，关系代词作地点状语）
jack g**e a lot of information about the place that he visited last week.（定语从句，关系代词作宾语）
mike didn’t know where he should go.（宾语从句）
i left the keys where i left them.（地点状语从句）
2.关系副词在从句中充当时间状语： when = 时间介词 + which
i will never forget the days when we stayed together.（定语从句，关系代词作地点状语）
my grandpa always tells me the days that he spent in the army.（定语从句，关系代词作宾语）
i didn’t know when he got up this morning.（宾语从句）
tom was watching tv when his mother came back.（时间状语从句）
3.关系副词在从句中充当原因状语：why = for + which
the teacher didn’t know the reason why she was late for school.（定语从句，关系代词作原因状语）
mom didn’t believe the reason that little tom told her last night.（定语从句，关系代词作宾语）
i don’t know why he was late for school.（宾语从句）

第三课时：特殊情况（只用that不用which的情况）
1． 先行词是形容词最高级或者它的前面有形容词最高级时。
this is the best that has been used against air pollution in cities.
english is the most difficult subject that you will learn during these years.
2． 先行词是序数词，或它的前面有一个序数词时
he is the last person that i want to see.
3． 先行词被only, any, few, little, no, all, one of, the same, the very等词（组）修饰时。
the only thing that we can do is to give you some money.
li ming is the only one that got full marks in our class.
li ming is one of the students that want to be teachers in our class.
4． 先行词本身是不定代词all, much, little, something, everything, anything, nothing, none, the one等或者被不定代词所修饰时。

5． 定语从句的主句中已经有特殊疑问词，为了避免重复时。

6． 先行词既有人又有物时。
they are talking about the person and the things that they saw last year.
7． 有两个定语从句，其中一个关系代词已用which,另外一个宜用that
