概念：there be结构又叫做存在句，它是英语中一种常见的句型结构：表示“在某地存在某人或某物”。

构成：1） 肯定结构。

there+is/was+可数名词单数/不可数名词+地点/时间状语。

there+are/were+可数名词复数+地点/时间状语。

例如：there is a book on the desk桌子上有一本书。

there was a book on the desk yesterday．昨天桌子上有一本书。

there are some books on the desk桌子上有几本书。

there were some books on the desk yesterday昨天桌子上有几本书。

2） 否定结构。

there+is/was+not/no+可数名词单数/不可数名词+地点/时间状语。

there+are/were+not/no+可数名词复数+地点/时间状语。

例如：there is not any milk in the bottle.

there is no milk in the bottle.杯子里没有牛奶。

there be结构主谓一致there be结构中的be动词要和后面所跟名词保持一致，遵循“就近原则”。

there be后接的如果是单数可数名词或不可数名词时，be动词只能是单数形式is或was；there be后接的如果是复数可数名词时，一定要用复数形式are或were。例如。

1) there is a book on the desk

(2)there are some books on the desk

3)there is a book and two pens on the desk

就近原则：a book离there近，所以be动词就和a book保持一致，即用单数，如果反过来就变成there are two pens and a book on the desk.

there be结构和h**e／has的用法区别：

h**e／has表示“某物归某人所有”，强调所属关系，而there be指“在某地或某时有某人或某物”，强调存在关系。例如：

there is a bus in our school(只表示存在，bus不一定属于学校)

our school has a bus(表示我们学校拥有bus这一财产)
