一、教学目标：
1、能听懂、会读let’s read ，并能完成填充句子的练习；
2、能完成match and say；
3、完成let’s check 练习。
二、教学重、难点：
1、学习重点：能充分理解、朗读let’s read，了解几个表示单位的词：ton meter kg cm ；
2、学习难点：充分理解let’s read.
教学过程：一、自主学习（self-learning）：
1、跟录音、跟同学、学读let’s read 文段。
2、同学们自读对话，力求熟练。并把自己读起来困难的词，句，段做上记号。可向同伴和老师求助。
3、预习“read and write”,了解短文意思，并完成短文后的练习题。
二、合作**(group work)：
1、同学们2人一组读对话，相互纠正错误。
2、同学可以当小老师领读对话，验收同学们是否会读。
组挑战2组，2组挑战3组，以此类推，挑战者指定其他组一人进行挑战，快速读出本课较难的句子。如food：squid、lobsters and small sharks .

二次备课。三、小组展示(group show)：
1、小组同学用自己的话介绍这两种鲸的本领或特点。
2、小组同学拿出事先准备好的有关其他鲸的资料。模仿课文介绍。
3、学生根据课文内容进行简单的描述两种鲸。
4、展示match and say 连线题。
