1. the pay phone is between the post office and the library. 公用**在邮局和图书馆之间。
between 作介词，表示“两者之间”，常与and连用，构成between ..and ..意为“在……和……之间”。如：
the school is between the hospital and the bank. 学校在医院和银行之间。
2. it’s down bridge street on the right. 它在沿着大桥街前方的右边。
1） down 在此为介词，意为“沿着；顺着”，相当于along。如：
go down this street. 沿着这条街走。
2） on the right 意为“在右边”，此时的right为名词，“在某人的右边/左边”表示为on one’s right / left。如：
the bank is on your right. 银行在你的右边。
3. next to the hotel is a small house with an interesting garden. 旅馆旁边是一所带有一个有趣花园的小住宅。
1） 这是一个倒装句，其真正的语序是a small house with an interesting garden is next to the hotel. 有时为了使句子保持平衡，或使上下文衔接更紧密，可把介词短语提到前面进行倒装。如：
in front of the classroom, there are many trees. 教室前有许多树。
2） with 为介词，在句中意为“具有；带有”，表属性。如：
i don’t know the girl with glasses. 我不认识那个戴眼镜的女孩。
3） with 还可以当“和”讲。如：
i often go to the movies with my friends. 我经常和我的朋友们去看电影。
4. let me tell you the way to my house. 让我来告诉你来我家的路。
1） let sb. do sth. 意为 “让某人做某事”，do为动词原形。如：
let’s play basketball. 让我们打篮球吧！
2） the way to 意为“去某地方的路”，后接地点名词，但其后接地点副词时，则不能用介词to。如：
this is the way to our school. 这是去我们学校的路。
i don’t know the way there. 我不知道去那儿的路。
