aeroplanes are slowly driving me mad. i live near an airport and passing planes can be heard night and day. the airport was built years ago, but for some reason it could not be used then.

一）核心词汇。
1. point of view
精析】观点、看法、见解。
eg: 在我看来。
拓展】表示“个人观点，看法”的表达还有：

精析】 n.广告；做广告，登广告；广告业。
adj.广告的；广告业的。
v.公告；为……做广告（advertise的ing形式）

精析】做……是非法的。
eg: 吸毒是非法的。

拓展】in addition与in addition to
in addition to 因为以结尾，所以作用相当于一个意思是除……之外，；除……之外又，加上……。
in addition 以结尾，作为相当于意思是：也；另外，加之。
12. besides
精析】此外、除……之外。
besides milk and cheese, we need vegetables.
拓展】besides与 except
besides
除……外，还有……”指更进一步的拥有，包括所“除”事物在内。
例子：1. besides tom, mary went boating.
tom和mary都去boating)
2. h**e you got any clothes besides these? 除了这些衣服你还有别的吗？
except
except:(prep.)除了……之外。
后面的范围比主语的范围小，除去的和非除去的是同类事物，用except
例子：we went boating except tom
tom属于"我们(we)"但不没有went boating,但是tom和we都是人)
不包括所引事物。常与no, none, nothing等否定词或all, everyone, everything等连用，但不可用于句首。
they all went to the summer palace except one.除一人之外他们都去了颐和园。
13. suffer 遭受， 经历， 忍受。
拓展疾病， suffer from a headache.
14熬夜。15. need 需要。
没有必要做某事。
拓展】need sb to do sth. i need you to bring me some food.
