potato与tomato的复数是加es. pork tofu mutton fish 是不可数名词。
ih**eeggplantandtomatoesforlunch.我午饭吃茄子和西红柿。这里的eggplant是指一道菜，是被切碎了的，熟的，所以这里的eggplant是不可数名词，不能用复数形式。
必会句型；---what would you like for lunch? -i’d like some tomatoes and mutton.这个句型表示的是一种意愿。
---what do you h**e for lunch? -i h**e eggplant and tomatoes.这个句型表示的是已经吃过的。

therebe句型和一般句型可以相互转换。
如：把下列句子用therebe句型改写：thecomputerisonthedesk.――thereisacomputeronthedesk.
注意：some 用于肯定句中，any用于疑问句和否定句中。
一些特殊疑问词的意义与用法：
1）what什么，用来问是什么，叫什么，干什么，什么样等。如：what is this?
这是什么？ what’s your name? 你叫什么名字？
what’s your father like?你爸爸长得什么样子？ what’s your mother?
你妈妈是干什么的？
2）where**，用来问在什么地方。如where are you from?你来自**？ where is my ruler?我的尺子在**？
3）who谁，用来问人物是谁？如：who’s that man?那个男人是谁？
who’s your math teacher? 你的数学老师是谁？
4）whose 谁的，用来问东西是谁的。如：whose book is this? 这是谁的书？ whose father is a farmer?谁的爸爸是农民？
whose bike is blue?谁的自行车是蓝色的？
5）what time什么时间。用来问具体时间是几点。
如：what time is this?现在几点了？
6）what colour什么颜色。用来问物体是什么颜色的。
如：what colour is your bag?你的书包是什么颜色的？
7）when 什么时候。用来问时间，后面常跟动词。
如：when do you get up?你什么时候起床？
8）how 怎么样。用来问人的身体状况。
如：how are you? 你好吗？
how is your mother?你妈妈好吗？
9）how many多少。用来问物体的数量。
如：how many books do you h**e?你有多少本书？
how many days are there in a week?
一个星期有几天？
10）how much 多少钱。用来问商品或物体的**。
如：how much is your schoolbag?你的书包多少钱？
how much is this book?这本书多少钱？
11）which哪一个。用来问具体的哪一个。
如：which class do you like best?你最喜欢哪一门课程？
which class are you in ?你在哪个班级？i am in class two.我在二班。
which grade are you in ?你在哪个年级？i am in grade six。我在六年级。
which grade is your sister in ? 你妹妹在哪个年级？
she is in grade 4.她在四年级。
表示年级或班级的单词grade, class在答语中必须大写第一个字母。）
以系动词be( am , is , are ) 和助动词can , do等开头的一般疑问句，在答语中首先要用 yes或no做出正误判断，后面必须出现问句开头的系动词或助动词，当问句**现第一人称代词时，还要变为第二人称。
如： are you a student? yes, i am. （no, i am not.）
is your sister a teacher? yes, she is. (no, she isn’t.)
am i a teacher? yes, you are. (no, you aren’t.)
do you h**e new teachers? yes, we do. (no, we don’t.)
does amy h**e new teachers ? yes, she does. (no, she doesn’t.)
