unit 4 how do you get to school?

一、analysis of the teaching material:

本单元是新目标英语八年级第四单元。本单元以how do you get to school为中心话题展开的,进一步使用一般现在时态来加深学生对其理解和运用。 在学习活动中,通过学生的自主学习与合作**激发学生的学习兴趣,促进学生的情感交流。

以达到用英语来和别人讨论到达某地的最佳方式。

二、design the principle:

新目标英语强调的是任务型教学,强调学生要成为教学活动的主角,而老师只是从中起到协调引导作用,因此在我的教学设计里,比较重视学生活动。充分调动起学生的积极性,让他们成为学习的主体。本节课是本单元的第一课时,主要让学生掌握交通工具和基本句型“how do you……?

四、teaching focal points:

key vocabulary:

subway, take the subway,

train, take the train

ride a bike,

take the bus, ,

walk, take a taxi

五、 target language:

how do you get to school?

i walk. how about you, sally?

i ride my bike.

how does mary go to school?

she takes the train.

六、teaching methods:

listening method.

pair work

speaking

七、teaching aids:

a tape recorder

pictures.

word cards.

八、teaching procedures:

step one: greet the class as usual.(talk about the date.

use present tense and past tense. )

t: what’s the date today?

s: it is…….

t:what was the date yesterday?

s: it was…….

(增强交际能力,复习学过知识)

talk about transportation.

step two: new words

show some pictures of the new words on the screen. ask students to try to read these words.

train, subway ,ship,car ,plane taxi

maybe there are only two new words for students---subway and train, so the teacher only correct the pronunciation of these words.

then ask some students to say the phrases: ride a bike, take a/the bus ,taxi subway,train,ship and so on.

通过多**屏幕向学生展示所学单词,**并茂,非常直观地向学生展示了新单词,调动了学生的学习积极性又强化了单词记忆。让学生通过**来记短语,生动形象)

step three: key point

step four: practice the conversation like this:

how do you get to school? i ride a bike to school.

how does li lei go to school? he rides a bike to school.

通过师生。生生之间的对话练习加强学生对句型的认知,强化记忆他们既要考虑自己怎么说还要注意听别人怎么说,而且让在这一过程中充分训练了单三人称的句子)

ask students to look at the picture in their books. ask them some questions about the picture..

what can you see in the picture?

how many people are there in the picture?

what are they doing?

after this, play the recording for three times, ask students to finish activity 1b, then check the answers together.

the teacher give the correct answers on the screen.

通过听力让学生对于本课的基本句型有了一个初步印象,并且让他们自己从听力中领悟怎样表达使用某种交通工具。)

step six: pairwork

ask students to work in pairs. ask and answer how students get to school in the picture.

as they work, move around the room, offering language or pronunciation support as needed.

finally ask some pairs of students to present their conversations to the class.

通过对话让学生更好的掌握所学的句型。)

step seven: guessing game

look at the pictures on the screen, play this game

(通过做游戏了解学生对本课知识的掌握情况。)

step eight: exercises

(通过练习巩固所学内容)

step nine:homework

九、教学反思:

本节课上完后有如下感觉:

a) 多**教学使课堂生动活泼,增加了教学容量,使老师更好的利用课堂45分钟。

b) 基本按照新课标的要求让学生成为课堂的主体,让他们多说多练,教学效果较好。

c) 随堂的几道习题帮助学生更好的掌握了所学。

d) 由于学生较多,所以设计的活动有些进行得很仓促。

e) 对于基础较差的学生来说,课堂容量较大,很难进行完。
