一． 谓语是对主语动作或状态的陈述或说明，指出“做什么”、“是什么”或“怎么样”. 谓语动词的位置一般在主语之后。谓语动词一般由动词的各种时态来体现。
二． 时态：谓语动词的各种变化形式称为时态。谓语动词的各种变化形式表明了该动作发生的时间，时间和表达形式是一致的。
1.一般现在时态，谓语动词用原形或者动词的第三人称单数形式。表示经常、反**生或者习惯性的动作，表示主语具备的性格、爱好，能力和本质特性等。
表述客观事实、普遍真理、名言、警句或者谚语等。
2. 现在进行时态表示正在进行的动作或存在的状态。现在进行时表示动作发生的时间是“现在”，动作目前的状态是“正在进行中”。
谓语动词的变化： 助动词be (am / is,are)+ 该动词的现在分词构成，3. 一般过去时态表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态，谓语动词用其过去形式。
一般是在动词后加上ed 构成。
例如：he often watches tv after school.
they usually watch tv on weekends.
he is watching tv now.
he watched tv yesterday.
三． 非谓语动词：谓语动词以外的动词。
1. 一般情况下要在其前加上非谓语动词的符号to 即 “to+v”
2. let 祈使句中的动词用省略to 动词。
3. 所有介词后必须用动词的ing形式。
4. like后用动词的ing形式表一般爱好。用to+动词原形表某一次行为。
5. 后面只能接动词的ing形式的动词enjoy finish practice mind spend
6. 接动词的ing形式，接to+动词原形有明显区别的单词：
forget to do 忘记要去做某事（此事未做。
forget doing忘记做过某事（此事已做过或已发生。
stop to do 停止、中断（某件事），目的是去做另一件事。
stop doing 停止正在或经常做的事。
remember to do 记住去做某事（未做）
remember doing记得做过某事(已做)
try to do努力、企图做某事。
try doing试验、试一试某种办法。
go on to do 继而（去做另外一件事情）
go on doing 继续（原先没有做完的事。
see sth.看见某人在做某事。
see sh. do sth. 看见某人做了某事。
hear sb doing sth. 听见某人在做某事。
hear sth.听见某人做了某事。
四． 固定结构：
be busy doing sth.. 忙于做某事 keep doing sth. 反复做某事。
go shopping go swimming
do some reading 读点书，阅读 there is sth.. 有人在做某事。
