二、**新知。

.新词导学与实践。

1..unusual 形容词,意为“罕有的,独特的”,一般没有比较级。

such cold weather is quite unusual.

实践:用括号内所给单词的适当形式填空。

形容词,意为“不可能的”

it’s impossible for us to make a cock hatch chickens.

拓展:impossible很少用于以人做主语的句子,例如“你不可能做它”不能译成“you are impossible to do it.”而要用”it’s impossible for you to do it”或者“you are unable to do it.

”实践:根据句意及汉语提示写出所缺单词的正确形式。

.课文要点详解。

1.“i‘m trying to break a world record.”我会尽力打破世界纪录。

用法:try to do sth.意为“努力/试图做某事。

”表示努力或试图完成某个动作或达到某种目的,相当于try one’s best to do sth.其否定形式为try not to do sth.

he tried to climb up the tree, but he could not.

拓展:try doing sth.“试着做某事。”表示试验某种做法是否行得通,或看其效果如何。

例句:he tried turning his key in the lock and the door was opened.

实践:翻译下列句子。

1)你应该尽量多吃水果。

2)你应该试试多吃水果。

2.“that’s such a thick book .”says danny, and it’s so he**y.”

1)such作形容词,意为“这样的,如此的”修饰名词,遇到不定冠词a/an时,要放在冠词之前,遇到all, no, one, few, several, some, any等词时,则放在其后。

a. such a/an+形容词+单数可数名词。例如:he is such a funny boy.

b. such+ a/an+名词。例如:

i don’t know he is such a man,c. such+形容词+名词复数。例如:

these are such delicious food.

2)so作副词,意为“这么,如此。”修饰形容词、副词和动词,so和形容词一起修饰后面的名词,即so+ adj. +a/an +n.

,可与such +a +adj. +n.句型互换,如果有many, much等词时只能用so,例如:

she is so lovely a girl=she is such a lovely girl.
