42. he (she) is talking on another phone. will you wait? 当对方要找的人正在通**时,可以告诉对方这两句,请其稍等。

43. he isn’t in just now. 或he has just stepped out.

或he is out of his office. 当对方要找的人不在可以说:“他不在。

”44. is there any message? 或 may i take a message for him?

要不要留话。告诉对方其欲找的人不在后,为表客气可再问对方是否要留话。

46. please call back later (later on). 请稍侯再打过来。

47. would you like him to call you ? 要不要他回电。
