虚拟语气。
一、虚拟语气的概念。
表示说话人的愿望、假设、猜测或建议，而不表示客观存在的事实。
二、虚拟语气在if条件从句中的用法。
if he had hurried, he could h**e caught the train.
if i were your father, i would beat you.
if i were to go abroad one day, i would go to america.
混合条件句，有时主句和从句的动作发生在不同时间，这时主、从句谓语动词的虚拟语气形式必须因各自时间不同而不同。
if you had met him yesterday, you would know what to do now.
如果昨天你有见到他，你现在就知道要做什么了。
you would be much better now if you had taken my advice.
如果你有听我的意见，你现在就会好多了。
三、某些动词的宾语从句中的虚拟语气的用法。
1．wish: wish 所带的宾语从句中的谓语动词必须是虚拟语气。
2．在表示命令、建议、要求等动词后面的宾语从句中，谓语动词要用should+动词原形，should可省略。
the doctor suggested that she (should) h**e an operation at once.医生建议她得马上动手术。
he insisted that you (should) be seated there. 他坚持让你坐在那儿。
四、某些名词性从句中虚拟语气的用法。
1. it be + 形容词/名词 + that… +should)+动词原形 +
形容词和名词有：important, necessary, natural, right, wrong, better, proper, funny, strange, surprising，a pity，a shame等。
it is a pity that you (should) spend the day at the hotel. 你得在旅馆里度过一天是一件遗憾的事情。
it is important that he (should) ask his parents for advice. 他征求父母的意见是很重要。
2．it be+过去分词+that…+(should)+动词原形+…
过去分词：suggested, requested, ordered, proposed, demanded, desired, advised等。
it is required that nobody (should) smoke here. 据要求，这里不能抽烟。
it’s suggested that everybody (should) buy a dictionary. 建议每个人要买一本字典。
3．one’s + 名词 + is that …+should)+动词原形+…
名词有：order, suggestion, request, proposal, requirement等。
our suggestion is that the meeting (should) be held at once. 我们的建议是会议应立刻举行。
五、虚拟语气在其它从句中的用法。
1．由as if/ as though引导的从句。
2．if only…句型。
3．would rather 引导的从句。
4．it is (high) time that + 从句，从句的谓语动词要用过去时或用should+动词原形，但should不能省略。
it is (high) time that we had dinner. 或it is (high) time that we should h**e dinner. 我们是时候吃饭了。
5．词组 “but for, without+ 名词，句子多用虚拟。
but for your help, i would h**e failed. 要不是你的帮助，我会不及格的。
without the money, i would not be alive now. 没有这个钱，我不会现在还活着。
