round, around和about基本通用，均指某一位置或者物体。在表示时间“大约”时，三者也通用。如：
we were sitting around / round / about the teacher, playing games.

across, through, past, over, along, down
across强调穿过某一平面，常接宾语一般有：the street, the square, the desert, the bridge；

over强调从平面的一边到另一边，或超过某一高度，常跟的宾语主要有：the mountain, the hill, the street, the bridge；
