英语小故事：土豆系列之一——共建美好家园。
土豆王国的公民们，由于乱扔垃圾，严重破坏了生态平衡，以致乌云横行于天空，整日不见阳光。下雨后，就连彩虹都被乌云吃掉了。
第一场：rainbow: help! help!
sam: what happened?
rainbow: please help me go back to the sky.
sweet: don't worry! we can help you.
第二场：rainbow: but the dust will not let me go back.

美术课上，伙伴们正在专心画画。因为mr. baker说要把一盒最精致的蜡笔给画画最好的人。大家都想得到它。
第一场：sam: do you like my picture? it's a cat.
thomas: oh, i think it looks like a dog.
sam: really? i can't win the crayons.
thomas: ask tod for help. he is good at drawing.
第二场：sam: tod, can you help me? i can't draw a cat.

tod连说连用力涂色，一点也不爱惜蜡笔，折了好多。

放学后，sweet一直画画到深夜，因为好也想得到mr. baker的新蜡笔。
第五场：sweet: i think tod will win. i wish i could win.
画着画着，sweet趴在桌子上睡着了。这时sweet的蜡笔们……
第六场：crayon a: guys, hurry up!
we need to help sweet! she is good to us. did you see tod's crayons?
all the crayons come to the drawing *****. they begin to dance.
奇怪的是他们留下的痕迹成为一幅漂亮的图画。天亮了，sweet发现桌子上有一幅画。
第七场：sweet: oh, i'm late for school! did i draw this last night?
她急起画，急忙赶到学校交给了mr. baker，羸得了精致的画笔。
第八场：partners: congratulations, sweet!
sweet: thank you, mr. baker!
蜡笔们也笑了……

他迅速跑向sweet的玫瑰园，把所有的玫瑰摘掉。

说完，气冲冲地去找他算帐。
第五场：这时，thomas也遇到了麻烦。
mr. baker: thomas, what are you doing?
thomas: what's the matter?
mr. baker: go out! it’s made for the guests.
thomas: what? it's tod!他也气冲冲地去找tod算帐。
第六场：sam: tod, how could you say such a lie?
thomas: we won't let you go!

第七场：tod眼珠子骨碌碌一转，又想出一个坏主意……
