一、 词语辨析。
1. 同义词。
persist & insist
二者均表示“坚持”，但是：
persist指不顾困难和反对坚持下去有时坚持的对，但多数表示有些固执甚至顽固。后接in。
persisted in going in spite of the rain.
insist 指坚持某种意见，后接on或upon。
insisted on this point.
country & nation & state & land
country 表示国家时，着重指领土。
usa is american country.
nation 表示国家时，着重指人民。
friendly nations support each other.
state 表示国家时，着重指政权。
committed crimes against the state. 他们犯了叛国罪。
2. 形近词。
consist & resist
consist表示由···组成。后接of。
club consist of 200 members.
resist表示“抵抗”。
couldn’t resist. 他再也无法抵抗了。
afford & effort & effect & affect
afford表示负担得起。
can’t afford a new car.
effort表示努力。
frowned in an effort of memory. 她皱着眉头努力回忆。
effect和affect均表示影响，但是effect所表示的影响与原因有直接关系。
