注意：*在以ch结尾的名词中，当ch读/k/时，变复数时应加-s。如：stomach—stomachs,epoch—epochs。
有些以f结尾的词，也可直接加-s变为复数。如：gulf—gulfs，chief—chiefs。
有些在词尾加-es。如：potato—potatoes，tomato—tomatoes，hero—heroes。（英雄爱吃土豆和西红柿）。
注意：由man和woman构成的合成词，其复数形式也是-men和-women。但german不是合成词，其复数形式为germans。
