一、课程性质与目的。
本课程是为英语专业本科生开设的专业技能课，是英语专业本科生的限选课程。 其主要目的在于帮助学生重点掌握英语语法的核心项目，提高学生在上下文中恰当运用英语语法的能力和运用英语的准确性，使学生对英语语法有一个比较系统的了解并能借助英语语法知识解决英语学习过程中的有关问题。同时，通过指导学生有计划地阅读英语语法教材，使学生学会**英语语言的结构，通过各种练习，牢固地掌握英语语法，提高运用英语的能力。
二、课程简介。
英语语法课程是英语学习者获取其它英语知识、培养语言技能的基础课程。本课程通过分析与综合、归纳与演绎的方法来**英语语言的基本规则，帮助学习者对英语从感性认识上升到理性认识。本课程以英语语法为研究对象，通过系统学习，全面构建语法框架，掌握各种语法知识，提高英语输出的准确度，从而使英语专业学生系统地认识英语从词到句乃至语篇的构造，通过系统地、较为完整地传授英语语法知识，提高学生使用英语的规范性，使其学会用英语准确地、有效地传递信息和表达思想，三、教学内容。
教学内容：新编英语语法教程》，按顺序讲解二十一到四十单元。具体安排如下：
第二十一单元 –ingparticiple 总学时：2学时。

四、教学基本要求。
本课程以英语语法为研究对象，通过系统学习，全面构建语法框架，掌握各种语法知识，提高英语输出的准确度。学完本课程应达到以下基本要求：
1．系统了解英语语法知识，加深对英语语言的理解。
2．掌握如下具体的语法项目：动词的现在时、过去时、现在完成时、过去完成时、将来时、否定表达法、疑问句、被动态、使役动词、直接引语、间接引语、条件状语从句、虚拟语气、现在分词、动名词、不定式、动词词组、情态助动词等。
3．学会各种语法规则以及其特例。
4．初步掌握英语句法知识。
5．学会将语法与语义联系起来，准确使用英语语言知识。
6．初步建立英语篇章意识。
五、教学方法。
本课程采用板书与多**课件结合的方式进行课堂教学。教师可根据实际需要和情况选择适当的教学方法与手段。主要教学方法是交际教学法与语法翻译法。
通过教师讲解、课堂讨论和学生练习相结合尽可能多地给学生多锻炼的机会。
学期成绩由期末成绩、期中成绩和平时成绩三部分构成，其权重分别为%、和20%。其中，平时成绩主要包括学生出勤、课外作业和课堂表现。
