六、接待来访。

1.常用词句。

may i help you, sir? 我能为你效劳吗?(你有什么事),先生?

do you h**e an appointmet? 您事先约好了吗?

could i h**e your name, please? 请问您姓名?

would you please wait a moment? 请等一会儿,好吗?

can i know what you wish to see him about? 我能问一下您找他有什么事吗?

i’m afraid mr. smith is engaged at the moment. would you mind waiting?

恐怕史密斯先生这时候很忙。您能等一下吗?

i’m afraid mr. kent can’t see you at the moment. would you mind ****** an appointment for some other time?

s: do you want to buy some?

v: no, never ever. i’ve already bought the wretched things and they don’t work at all.

s: i’m sorry to hear that.

v: what’s the use of being sorry? what are you going to do about it?

s: if you’d like to wait while i contact mr. crandall, our sales manager, i’m sure he can help you.
