强调句型。
一、强调结构的形式为“it is（was）＋被强调部分＋that（who, whom）＋其它成分”。 强调结构本身没有意义，它只帮助改变句子结构， 使某一部分受到强调。去掉强调结构，原句依然成立。
i saw him in the park yesterday.
1）强调主语：
it was i that／who saw him in the park yesterday.
2）强调宾语：
it was him that／whom i saw in the park yesterday.
3）强调地点状语：
it was in the park that i saw him yesterday.
4）强调时间状语：
it was yesterday that i saw him in the park.
二、使用此句型时应注意以下几点。
1. 原句中的谓语动词时态是一般过去时、过去将来时、过去进行时或过去完成时等表过去的时态时， 用 it was...that...
属于表现在的时态时， 用 it is...that...如：
it is the computer that is doing many jobs.
when was it that the long march started?
2. 对 not...until...句型强调时， 要把 not 连同 until 短语或从句一起提前，即 it wasn’t untill……that…… 如：
it was not until i spoke to him that he noticed me. （he didn't notice me until i spoke to him. ）
3. 强调特殊疑问句的疑问词时， 要将疑问词置于句首， 句子结构仍是疑问句形式。
特疑+is/was that ……如：
where was it that you put the book? （where did you put the book? ）
who was it that called me this morning? （who called me this morning? ）
4. 在口语中 that 有时可以省略。如：
was it in beijing you first met him? （was it in beijing that you first met him? ）
what is it you want me to do? （what is it that you want me to do? ）
三、强调句型与其他句型的区别。
有时强调句型在形式上和定语从句、状语从句很相似。区别的方法是如果去掉it was/ is……that……，原句依然成立 ,就是强调句型。
it was at the railway station that we first met 16 years ago. 强调句。
it was the railway station where we first met 16 years ago. 定语从句。
it was in this street that the car accident happened the other day. 强调句。
it was this street where the car accident happened the other day. 定语从句。
it was at midnight that he got home yesterday. 强调句。
it was midnight when he got home yesterday. 状语从句 (it指时间)
