英语中有许多表高考资源网示祝贺、庆祝、祝福、愿望或强烈希望的句子，它们统称为祝愿句。是祈使句里面的一个小类。按照句子的结构，可分为以下句型：
句型1：i wish + you + 名词。

说明】may表示祝福与愿望，多用于书面语中；口语中有时也有用的，但都显得比较庄重。有人说这种句式是由复合句简缩而来的，例如：“may you succeed！
(祝您成功)”是由“i hope(或wish) you may succeed！(我希望您成功)”紧缩来的。但不管怎样，本句型有其独自的结构形式，may不是在主语后面，而是摆在句子开头，使全句成倒装语序。
may的位置显著，祝愿的意义也就随着突出地表现出来。
句型5：(祝愿内容)名词 + to + 名词或代词 (被祝愿对象)

说明】这是一种紧缩的名词句，表示致敬、敬酒，祝福和愿望等概念。多用于比较正式的场合。被祝愿的对象常常是第二人称或第三人称。

说明】long live原意是“长久地活着”，引伸为“万岁”的意思。不管后面的主语是单数还是复数，long live保持不变，这是一种虚拟语气，表达强烈的愿望，所以不随后面的主语而变化。long是被强调的时间状语，置于句首，因此又用倒装语序。
