考点串讲】一、冠词的分类及用法。
冠词是置于名词前限定名词的词，有定冠词the和不定冠词a(an)两类。定冠词表示“特指”，不定冠词表示“类别”,还有零冠词。
1.不定冠词a, an的用法：
不定冠词a和an都用在可数名词单数之前。
1．表示类别，泛指一类人或物。如：
a horse is bigger than a rabbit.马比兔子大。
2．指某人或某物，但不具体指明是哪个人或物。如。
a woman is waiting for you at the gate.
有位妇女在门口等你。
3．表示数量“一”，但数的概念不如one强烈。如：
i h**e a book. 我有一本书。
4．表示职业、身份、宗教等。如：
her brother is a doctor. 她哥哥是一名医生。
2. 定冠词的用法：定冠词用到名词前边表示“特指”：
1．特指某(些)人或某(些)事物。如：
the man in the white car is tom's father.
白色小汽车里的那个男人是汤姆的爸爸。
2．指上文已经提到的人或事物。如：
lily bought a storybook. the storybook is very interesting.
莉莉买了一本故事书，这本故事书很有趣。
3．指谈话双方都知道的人或物。如：
—where are the new books， jim?
吉姆，新书在**？
—they are on the desk.它们在课桌上。
4．用在表示世界上独一无二的事物的名词前。如：
the sun is bigger than the moon.
太阳比月亮大。
5．用在与play连用的西洋乐器事物名词前。如：
she often plays the violin after school.
她经常在放学后拉小提琴。
6．用在方位名词前。如：
in the east/west/south/north
在东/西/南/北边。
on the left/right在左/右边。
7．用在序数词和形容词最高级(副词最高级前的the 可省略)及形容词only, very, same 前。如：
lin tao is the tallest in his class.
林涛是他班里个子最高的男孩。
that's the very thing i've been looking for.
那正是我一直在找的东西。
[提醒] (1)序数词前通常加the，但表示在原来基础上另加一(个)时序数词前加a(n)。如：a second language (除母语外的)第二语言。
the apples are very delicious. i h**e just eaten two of them. can i h**e a third one?
这些苹果非常好吃，我刚吃了两个。我能再吃一个吗？
(2)形容词比较级前也有使用the的情况：“the＋比较级，the＋比较级”意为“越……越……”如：
the more, the better. 越多越好。
8．用在某些形容词前，表示一类人或事物。如：
the old老人 the young 年轻人。
the poor穷人 the rich富人。
the sick病人 the blind 盲人。
the disabled 残疾人。
9．用在姓氏的复数形式前，表示全家人或夫妇二人。如：
the blacks are eating dinner.
布莱克一家人正在吃晚饭。
10．用在江河、海洋、山脉、湖泊、群岛的名称前。如：
the west lake 西湖 the yellow river 黄河。
11．用在由普通名词构成的专有名词前。如：
the summer palace 颐和园 the great wall 长城。
12．用在一些国家名称、机关团体等专有名词前。如：
the united nations 联合国 the united states 美国。
13．用在表示“……世纪……年代”的结构前，年份后面加“s”。如：
in the 1990s在二十世纪九十年代。
14．用在某些习惯用语中。如：
in the sky在天空中at the same time同时。
all the time总是all the same一直
in the end最后；终于。
in the morning/afternoon/evening在上午/下午/晚上。
all (the) year round一年到头。
all the same 仍然，依然。
in the middle of在……的中间。
by the way 顺便问一句/说一句。
on the playground 在操场。
during/in the night 在晚上/夜间。
on the internet 在网上。
in the open air 在户外。
the same as…和……一样。
look the same 看起来一样。
in the world 在世界上
in the daytime在白天。
at the beginning of…在……的开始。
at the end of…在……的末尾。
in the center of 在……中心。
3. 不用冠词的情况（也称作零冠词）
1．有些专有名词(包括人名、国名、地名、以day结尾的节日、星期、月份、季节)前不用冠词(表特指的情况除外)。如：
in china 在中国； on sunday 在星期天； in winter在冬天。
2．物质名词和抽象名词前一般不加冠词。如：
time时间； water水； fruit水果。
3．表示一类人或事物的复数名词前不用冠词。如：
they are nurses. 她们是**。
4．人名、称呼语、头衔、职务等名词前一般不加冠词。如：
mr wang王先生； alice爱丽丝。
5．三餐、球类、棋类、牌类、游戏、语言、学科名称前不用冠词。如：
h**e lunch吃午饭； play football踢足球。
6．在某些固定词组中，名词前常不用冠词。如：
at home在家 at school在上学 at work在上班
at once马上 on business出差 on time按时，准时
on foot 步行 in time及时on duty值日/班
on fire着火 go to work去上班 go to bed **睡觉
listen to music听** in hospital住院 in space在太空。
in trouble有麻烦in danger 有危险。
on show(＝on display)展览 at night (＝in the night)在晚上。
by air/plane/ship/train/bus/bike 乘飞机/飞机/轮船/火车/公共汽车/骑自行车。
7．名词前有物主代词、指示代词、不定代词或名词所有格修饰时不用冠词。如：
that is mary's book.
那是玛丽的书。
my ruler is on the desk.
我的尺子在课桌上。
