六．情态动词的基本用法特征(can ,may)
表示说话人的语气，情态等。
a.情态动词没有动词的第三人称单数形式，不管主语是单数形式名词还是复数形式名词，情态动词都不会有单数形式的变化。
如：he can dance very well.
you may eat those apples.
they can speak some english.
b.情态动词在句中运用时，后跟动词原形。
如：i can play the piano.
he may join our school club.
c.含情态动词的肯定句变为一般疑问句，将情态动词提到句首，后加“？”
如：tom can sing in english.
一般疑问句 can tom sing in english?
we may go to play soccer today.
一般疑问句 may we go to play soccer today？
变为否定句时，在情态动词后加上“not”即可。
如：he can play basketball very well.
否定句 he can not play basketball very well.
can’tthey can speak some english.
否定句 they can not speak some english.
d.在变为一般疑问句时，如肯定句中有第一人称代词或some，需将第一人称代词变为第二人称形式，some变为any.
如：we can eat some of our food.
一般疑问句 can you eat any of your food？
否定句 we can’t eat any of our food.
victor can speak some chinese.
一般疑问句 can victor speak any chinese？
否定句 victor can’t speak any chinese.
