规则：当主句是过去时态时，从句要把现在时态改为过去时态，将来时态改为过去将来时态。
例1．i thought you were on dutytoday.
我原以为你今天值班。(一般现在时改为般过去时)例2．i thought you were still working now.
我原以为你现在还在工作。(现在进行时改为过去进行时)例3．he asked me whether i had finished my work.
他问我现在是否已经完成工作了（现在完成时改为过去完成时）
例4．i was thinking that hewouldn’tbe going with us.
去想他不会和我们一起去了（现在将来时改为过去将来时）
例5．he said that they would h**e got everything ready by tonight.
他说他们今晚会把一切准备好。（将来完成时改为过去将来完成时）
例6．he said she would h**e been teaching here for 10 years by this summer.
他说到今年夏天她在这里教书要满10年了（将来完成进行时改为过去将来完成进行时）
例外情况：当宾语从句的谓语表示一个人或事物的经常性的特点时，可以保持原时态。
例7．the teacher said the yellow river is the second largest river in china.
老师说黄河是中国第二大河。
例8．he told me that the train le**es at 6:00.
