有时为了强调地点，也可把介词短语放在句首。如：
on the desk there is a book.
2）there be句型中的be动词要用is还是are，须看其后的名词是单还是大于、等于俩。若是单数或不可数名词用is，否则就用are。如：
there is a tree behind the house.
there is some water（水）in the bottle（瓶子）.
there are some pears in the box.
注意：如果“be”后的主语是由and连接的两个或两个以上的名词，那么be的形式要遵循“远亲不如近邻”的原则。也就是说，“be”的形式是由与它最近的那个名词来确定的。
若那个名词是单数或不可数名词要用is，是复数就用are。如：
there is a book and some pens on the floor.

1）in：“在……中”、“在……里面”，通常表示某一空间里。如：
in china在中国？ in macao在澳门。
in the box在盒子里。
此外，in还可用于表示时间、表示用什么语言或者表示衣着。如：
in 2003在2024年。
in the morning/afternoon在上午/下午。
in english 用英语 in the hat戴着帽子的。
2）on：“在……上面”，有接触面。如：
on the desk 在桌子上 on the wall 在墙上 on the blackboard 在黑板上。
此外，on还可指具体时间，也可与名词一起构成介词短语。如：
on monday 星期一 on duty 值日，值班。
3）behind：“在……后面”。如：
behind the door 在门后 behind the desk 在书桌后。
4）under：“在……下面”。如：
under the tree 在树下 under the bed 在床下。
注意：以上所列出的表示位置的介词短语都可用来回答以where引导的特殊疑问句。如：
where is the ball? 那球在哪儿？
it’s under the chair. 在那张椅子下。
where are the maps? 那些地图在**？
they are on the wall. 它们在墙上。
重难点。1．冠词的使用。
冠词是放在名词前的一个虚词，本身无独立意义。
冠词分为不定冠词（a，an）和定冠词（the）。
1）不定冠词的用法。
表示“每一个”的意思，相当于every，如：
he goes to the cinema once a week. 他每周看一次电影。
表示数量“一”，相当于one，如：
he has a ruler in his pencil-case. 他铅笔盒里有一把尺子。
当所修饰的名词是以辅音音素开头时，用冠词a，若该名词以元音音素开头时，采用an。如：
an english book，an orange, a map, an hour，a useful book等。
在某些固定词组中，需要不定冠词，如：a lot of，a bit，h**e a good time，h**e a swim，take a walk，h**e a rest等。
定冠词的用法。
特指某人或某物。如：
the dog behind the door is mine. 门后的那只狗是我的。
指说话双方都了解的事或人。如：
let’s go to the playground. 让我们去操场吧。
讲述上文所提到的人或事。如：
he lives near a river. his child often swims in the river. 他住在一条河的附近。他的孩子经常到这条河里游泳。
表示世界上独一无二的事物。如：the sun，the moon，the earth等。
用在序数词的前面。如：
we h**e some classrooms on the second floor. 在第二层我们有几间教室。
某些专有名词前。如：
the summer palace，the great wall等。
用在最高级前。如：
which is the biggest animal on land？陆地上最大的动物是什么？
用在一些习惯用语中。如：
in the morning/afternoon/evening 在早晨/下午/晚上。
用在乐器之前。如：
play the piano 弹钢琴。
