学生处于小学阶段，对英语有了初步了解，词汇储备较少，对于三年级下学期学生的要求重点是在会读会说的基础上，能掌握一些基本单词的拼写和造句，了解一定的语法内涵，与人进行简单沟通交流。

2学情分析
五年级学生在学习英语过程中存在学习兴趣不是很高，学习不得法，且课后缺乏有效的巩固手段，练的机会明显不足。部分学生学习的目的性不是很强，导致学习习惯不好，学习无明确的计划，两级分化较明显。作为语言性学科，听与读是非常关键的环节，而大多数学生这一点做的不好。
于是，在教学中多加入一些趣味性活动，激发学生学习兴趣；以小组合作的方式，带动大多数学生主动参与学习；注重学生自学、互学、展学的能力培养和指导。
3重点难点
1. 教学重点：
掌握生词、句子，了解课文大意并能准确流利地朗读；
能以“mother’s day”为情景创设，小组合作创编、表演对话。
