一、考试基本要求。
要求考生通过大学英语四级考试（425分），应有较好的阅读能力，还要有一定的听、译、写等综合应用能力。
二、考试方法：闭卷笔试；考试时间：120分钟。
三、考试内容。
英语专业学位考试有客观题和主观题两部分组成。
客观题内容为： 听力理解、阅读理解、词汇。
主观题内容为：短文翻译和作文，
具体考试题型如下：
第一部分：听力理解。
共25个多项选择题，考试时间20分钟，得分占25％。测试考生听懂英语长短对话、短文的能力。
新闻报道：三篇新闻报道，得分占7％。
长对话： 二篇长对话，得分占8%
短文：三篇短文，得分占10％。
第二部分：阅读理解。
共4篇短文，每篇短文配有5个多项选择题，考试时间35分钟，得分占40％。测试考生从英语短文中获取信息的能力。
短文包括文化、社会、科普、经贸、人物等题材，考生阅读时既要求准确也要有一定速度。阅读理解四篇短文，总量约为1800词，考生应根据文章内容，从选择项中选择出一个最佳答案。
第三部分：词汇。
共20题，考试时间15分钟，得分占10％。测试考生运用词汇知识的能力，测试范围大学英语教学大纲的四级词汇+常用商务词汇。
第四部分：短文翻译：汉译英，左右，短文包括文化、社会、科普、旅游、经贸等题材，考试时间20分钟，得分占10％。
第五部分：作文。
考试时间30分钟，得分占15％。测试考生思考判断能力和语言表达能力。写作字数在以上，写作的体裁包括解释性议**、阐述性议**、比较性议**和图表。
